The KFD2-ST2-Ex1.LB is a robust 2-channel isolated barrier designed for intrinsic safety applications in industrial environments. It efficiently transfers digital signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts in hazardous areas to safe areas. This model is powered by a 24 V DC supply and is equipped with form A normally open relay contacts for the safe area load. The device is constructed with a polycarbonate housing, ensuring durability and resistance to environmental stresses such as dust and moisture. Its protection degree of IP20 makes it suitable for indoor use in controlled environments. The KFD2-ST2-Ex1.LB is designed to be mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail, adhering to EN 60715 standards, which simplifies installation and integration into existing infrastructure.

Features

The KFD2-ST2-Ex1.LB features a removable terminal block with an integrated self-opening device, simplifying installation and wiring processes. Function

In the event of a fault in the field circuit, the relays revert to their de-energized state, and the LEDs on the device indicate the fault according to NAMUR NE44 standards.
