Description
The KCD2-SR-Ex1.LB is a highly efficient 1-channel isolated barrier tailored for intrinsic safety applications in industrial environments. It enables the secure transfer of digital signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts located in hazardous areas to safe areas. This device is equipped with a form A normally open relay contact designed for safe area loads. Its compact housing, only 12.5 mm wide, makes it an ideal solution for applications where space is at a premium. The normal output state can be reversed using switch S1, providing flexibility in system design. Additionally, switch S3 allows users to enable or disable line fault detection of the field circuit, enhancing operational safety and reliability. In the event of an error condition, such as a fault in the field circuit, the relays revert to their de-energized state, and the LEDs on the device indicate the fault in accordance with NAMUR NE44 standards. This feature ensures quick identification and resolution of issues, minimizing downtime. The KCD2-SR-Ex1.LB operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial settings.
