Description

Compact yet surprisingly muscular, the ACS880-17-0105A-3 is the smallest member of ABB’s regenerative single-drive family built for 380–415 V networks. Housed in an IP21 footprint barely larger than a carry-on suitcase, it delivers 105 A of continuous output current without ever sacrificing precision or power quality. The active supply unit feeds braking energy back to the mains instead of burning it into heat, keeping utility bills, cooling budgets and carbon footprints low. Inside, a next-generation motor control algorithm supports both asynchronous and permanent-magnet motors, making retrofits painless and future upgrades a plug-and-play affair. A built-in SIL3/PL e safety channel eliminates contactors for safe torque-off, while the coated boards shrug off humidity, dust and corrosive atmospheres found in small machine rooms or rooftop installations.

Applications
