The ACS880-17-0460A-5 is a 460 A powerhouse engineered for the rugged edge of heavy industry, yet it speaks fluent IoT. Encased in an IP42 chassis only 800 mm deep, it pushes regenerative energy back into the grid at 99.1 % efficiency while maintaining a power factor of 0.99 leading or lagging—effectively doubling as a STATCOM. A patented “soft-surge” algorithm pre-magnetizes the DC link before closing the mains contactor, eliminating kiloamp inrush that would otherwise dim lights across the plant. The drive’s onboard AI engine learns load cycles and predicts capacitor end-of-life to within ±5 %, scheduling maintenance during planned outages. A built-in Ethernet switch with PRP redundancy gives <0 ms recovery on ring breaks, ensuring continuous data flow to SCADA historians.
