Description
At 361 A and 500 V, the ACS880-17-0361A-5 is the crossover point where single-drive economics meet multi-megawatt power quality. Its active front end delivers <2 % THD at full load, exceeding IEEE-519 even on weak 1 MVA transformers. A patented “soft-grid” algorithm pre-synchronizes the inverter to the mains before closing the contactor, eliminating inrush and flicker. The drive ships with a pre-loaded compressor macro that implements anti-surge control, load-sharing and unloading sequences without external PLCs. ABB’s EdgeKeeper VPN secures remote access, allowing OEMs to tune parameters from anywhere without opening plant firewalls.
