Description

The KCD2-SR-Ex2 is a compact and efficient 2-channel isolated barrier designed for intrinsic safety applications in industrial environments. Function

The device uses a zener barrier in combination with a galvanic isolation network to limit the energy transmitted to the field, thereby ensuring intrinsic safety. In the event of a fault in the field circuit, the relays revert to their de-energized state, and the LEDs on the device indicate the fault according to NAMUR NE44 standards.
