Description

The KFA5-SR2-Ex1.W is a highly reliable 1-channel isolated barrier designed for intrinsic safety applications in industrial environments. It efficiently transfers digital signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts in hazardous areas to safe areas, ensuring secure and accurate communication between field devices and control systems. This device is equipped with a form C changeover relay contact for the safe area load, offering versatility in system design and operation. The relay contact can be easily configured to meet specific application requirements, making it suitable for a wide range of Industrial Automation tasks. The KFA5-SR2-Ex1.W features a removable terminal block with an integrated self-opening device, simplifying installation and wiring processes. This design not only reduces installation time but also ensures secure and reliable connections, minimizing the risk of errors during setup. The device operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C, making it suitable for use in diverse environmental conditions. Its protection degree of IP20 ensures protection against solid objects larger than 12 mm in diameter and vertical dripping water, making it appropriate for indoor applications in controlled environments.
