Features

The KFD2-FF-Ex2.RS232 features a 24V DC supply (Power Rail) and is designed to operate with RS 232 input and output interfaces. It supports a data exchange rate of up to 20 kBits per second, ensuring efficient communication between systems. The device accepts input signals in the ±3 V to ±15 V range and provides a nominal ±10 V output, independent of the input voltage. It includes a unique collective error messaging feature when used with the Power Rail system, enhancing system reliability. The KFD2-FF-Ex2.RS232 also features a robust design with a housing type B1, making it suitable for installation in various industrial environments.

Function

The primary function of the KFD2-FF-Ex2.RS232 is to enable the bi-directional transfer of RS 232 signals between the safe and hazardous areas.
