DESCRIPTION
This Termination Board (X1-TB) provides direct connection between the I/O Card of the system and X1-Series modules. The Intrinsically Safe protection and signal isolation between Safe and Hazardous Area is provided by X1-Series Associated Apparatus (X1-IS), while simple galvanic isolation is provided by X1-Series galvanic isolators (X1-NIS). The 24 Vdc Power Supply of the X1-TB is connected to two connectors, for redundant power supply. Additional earth connected terminal blocks are provided for spare cores & cable shields. The board can host a gateway belonging to the X1-GW series for identification, configuration, monitoring and HART® communication to field devices.
