Description
Delivering 630 kW from 650 A at 690 V, the ACS880-07C-0650A-7+P974 occupies the R13 frame, yet its modular bus system allows future expansion to 800 kW by simply adding a second power stack—no rewiring required.  The P974 control layer now features “digital-twin-on-edge,” a real-time simulation that runs 50 ms ahead of the actual process, predicting torque disturbances and injecting compensating set-points to maintain ±0.1 % speed accuracy in paper-machine dryer sections.  A redundant fibre-optic temperature loop monitors every IGBT junction, auto-adjusting switching frequency to keep lifetime consumption within warranty limits.  The cabinet roof houses a retractable service platform rated at 150 kg, eliminating the need for scaffolding during annual inspections.

• Ambient –15…+50 °C; liquid-cooling plate for 55 °C.
Applications
Paper mills drive 630 kW dryer sections, using digital-twin predictions to maintain sheet tension within 0.5 %.  Mining slurry pipelines modulate 630 kW booster pumps, extending pipeline life by reducing pressure surges.  District-heeting plants run 630 kW circulation pumps, counting on modular expansion to 800 kW as networks grow.
