Description
Delivering 450 kW through 470 A at 690 V, the ACS880-07C-0470A-7+P974 occupies the R11+ frame, yet achieves an unprecedented power density of 450 kW per square metre through vertical bus bars and forced-air cooling augmented by an optional rear-mounted liquid-to-air heat exchanger. The P974 firmware introduces “dynamic flux weakening,” which extends the constant-power speed range by 25 % for high-speed spindles or test benches. A built-in partial-discharge monitor detects insulation ageing in connected motors, issuing alerts months before failure. The cabinet roof houses an integrated exhaust plenum that channels hot air directly into plant ventilation ducts, eliminating the need for additional HVAC in the electrical room. All power connections are front-accessible via hinged bus bars that swing down 45 degrees, enabling safe isolation without removing cables.
