Description
Crossing the 300 kW threshold, the ACS880-07C-0330A-7+P974 delivers 315 kW from 330 A at 690 V inside the double-door R10 cabinet, yet keeps overall width at 1 400 mm—narrow enough to pass through standard plant doorways without tilting.  ABB’s latest laminated dc-link bus bars carry 1 500 A with only 0.8 mΩ impedance, virtually eliminating stray losses and enabling the drive to operate at 99 % peak efficiency.  The P974 layer introduces “cascade master” logic that can synchronise up to six drives on a common dc bus, automatically redistributing regenerative energy and preventing over-voltage trips during rapid deceleration.  A built-in power-quality analyser records THD, flicker and unbalance, uploading data to the plant DCS for compliance reporting.  The cabinet roof features an integrated lifting beam rated for 1 200 kg, allowing the entire unit to be craned into place without removing doors or panels.

• Ambient –15…+50 °C; liquid-cooling plate for 55 °C.
Applications
Steel mills use the 0330A-7+P974 on 315 kW descaling pumps, regenerating during each slab gap to save 15 % energy.  Pulp plants modulate 315 kW chip-conveyor drives, synchronising six drives to prevent pile-ups.  Desalination facilities power 315 kW high-pressure reverse-osmosis pumps, relying on power-quality data to negotiate utility incentives.
