Description
The ACS880-17-0180A-5 brings 180 A of bidirectional muscle to 500 V networks while keeping audible noise below 55 dB(A) at one meter. A sophisticated spread-spectrum PWM algorithm shifts switching harmonics outside human hearing range, making it office-friendly. The regenerative front end includes a patented “grid-share” feature that limits export power to avoid tripping co-generation protection relays. A built-in energy-storage interface can pre-charge super-capacitors for 1 MW peak-shaving bursts, ideal for presses or shears that draw huge surges. The drive’s firmware supports master-follower fiber links up to 4 km, synchronizing up to 12 drives without external controllers.
