Description
At the apex of the air-cooled 690 V family, the ACS880-17-0430A-7 delivers 430 A of bidirectional power with the elegance of a precision instrument. Its active front end employs next-gen SiC MOSFETs that switch at 16 kHz while keeping losses below 1 %, rendering the unit virtually silent. The regenerative stage can export 430 A continuously and absorb the same, perfect for high-inertia centrifuges that must decelerate in seconds. A built-in cloud gateway streams torque, speed and energy data via OPC UA and MQTT, feeding plant historians in real time. An integrated arc-flash mitigation system reduces incident energy to <1 cal/cm² at the terminals, allowing maintenance with Category 1 PPE. The drive’s chassis includes removable side panels for side-by-side mounting without air gaps, maximizing floor-space utilization.
