Description
Rated 370 A at 690 V, the ACS880-17-0370A-7 is the flagship air-cooled regenerative drive before liquid cooling becomes mandatory. Its active front end uses advanced PWM techniques to achieve <1.5 % THD even on weak 2 MVA transformers. The regenerative stage can swing 370 A in both directions within 1 ms, making it ideal for test rigs that must reverse torque at full speed. A built-in micro-grid controller can island an entire production line, forming a stable 690 V grid from its own DC link during outages. The drive’s firmware includes a “compressor surge” macro that monitors discharge pressure in real time and adjusts speed to avoid destructive stall conditions.
