Description

The KFD2-STV4-Ex2-2 is a high-performance SMART Transmitter Power Supply designed for intrinsic safety applications in hazardous environments. It provides reliable power to 2-wire SMART transmitters in hazardous areas while transferring analog signals to safe areas. This device is particularly useful in applications requiring precise signal transmission and conversion, such as in Industrial Automation and process control systems. With its advanced features and robust design, the KFD2-STV4-Ex2-2 ensures safe and efficient operation in demanding industrial settings.


Features

The KFD2-STV4-Ex2-2 features a single-channel isolated barrier with a 24V DC supply, powered via a Power Rail. It supports input from 2-wire SMART transmitters, converting the input signal into an isolated voltage output ranging from 0/2 V to 10 V. The device includes integrated test sockets for HART communicators, facilitating easy maintenance and configuration. It is designed with reinforced insulation according to IEC/EN 61010-1, ensuring a rated insulation voltage of 300 Veff. The KFD2-STV4-Ex2-2 also supports a wide ambient temperature range of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F) and includes a unique collective error messaging feature when used with the Power Rail system.

The primary function of the KFD2-STV4-Ex2-2 is to supply power to 2-wire SMART transmitters in hazardous areas and transfer the analog input signal to the safe area as an isolated voltage value.
